I've had a quick thumb through the Haynes Book of Lies, and it says the front wings are only sealed on along the rear edge.

Is this right, or is it spot-welded? How easy are they to remove?

The ones on my Uno are pretty straight, even though they are painted in chalkboard paint! Would rather sell them to someone who needs them rather than weighing them in with the shell...

Let me know how do you take them of, specially at the bottom as I might need to do the same shortly! There seems to be a bolt at the bottom but this is covered in that black paint...

I finally got a chance to remove the wings at the weekend!

The bolts along the top were easy, there is also a bolt at the front hidden by the indicator unit, but as I had already removed the headlight clusters that wasn't a problem.

The two cross-head screws were the worst; one at the top rear of the wing, and the one at the bottom rear, covered in undercoat! As said there is a fixing half way up at the rear of the wing as well, but the wing just pulled off them on mine, both sides.

I had to dig as much paint out as possible on the bottom screw, and used an impact driver to undo both that screw and the top one. The bottom screw on the O/S wing was too seized on mine, even for the impact driver! I ended up rounding it off, and damaged the wing slightly. But I could poke holes in the sill with my finger, so other peoples might be a bit easier!

The sealant is a bit of a bugger, but I got through it quickly with a Stanley knife and a narrow paint scraper.

It is do-able, and wasn't that hard other than that one screw, which I probably could have removed properly if I had soaked it in penetrating oil or put some heat to it.

My wings are now on eBay... anyone fancy a chalkboard panel? :D
