Styling MK2b Rear FIAT Badge size?

95mm external diameter.
The "blue" Fiat logo in the badge is 70mm.

Just a word of warning (if you want to call it that)....
The original badge is attached to the bodywork by double sided tape and by 2x push in connector lugs. Your new badge must either have lugs in the same place, or must (in some way) make provision to close the holes in the bodywork.

Another thing to look out for: the badge is fitted in a recess, but because of the way the bodywork is constructed, the underside of the badge is concave. Any new badge cannot be "flat"

I suggest that you prise the badge off and then get your calculations right..... I should have done that. Instead I ended up spending a crapload of time trying to make my new badge fit. Got it right eventually, but wasted a LOT of time

No such luck :D

The diameter is the same, but it is attached with a threaded bolt and an 8mm nut, as well as 2 plastic positioning lugs.

IMHO, it'd look much better if you replaced the front grille with a badgeless one.

Defo go badgeless on the front looks so much better, I think the easiest for the back would be to get the badge stickers that just stick straight over the old badge, there must be somewhere that does custom ones of those? I used Abarthbadges.com before for my scorpion ones.

Yep - 70mm. To be really pedantic, the blue logo on my rear badge is 69.61mm.....:rolleyes:
That will take it right to the start of the chrome plating

Another thing you can try to do, is to separate the transparent plastic dome on the badge (others have done it on this forum) and either change the blue colour around the fiat logo (supposed to be very easy to do) or, possibly, remove the fiat logo itself, replacing it with something of your choice and then glueing the transparent plastic back. Less work than trying to adapt another badge.

Have a look here for some abarth type badges:

So to confirm, If I was to order a sticker that simply goes over the current FIAT badge, I would need to order a 70mm one?

haha I can see where your coming from Burtz, but then that involves finding one the right colour, or getting one sprayed plus the hassle of swapping over.

For now just ordering a stick-over replacement, but the background is same colour as car and FIAT logo is in black text so will look OEM but better suited to car imo.

May decide to go badgeless in future as know it looks much better.
