On the drivers side, the wiper blade is an inch or two shorter than on the passenger side. Is this normal?

Cheers.

Not another one of these rambling answers that just goes on and on and on. Why don't people just get to the point and give simple direct answers in plain English. That's all the OP wanted. MOT is due before you get to the end of some of them. Honestly I just don't know.:D(y)

just had the tape measure out and the blades are actually the same length, its the way they are positioned, more towards the drivers side than in the middle, that makes the drivers side blade appear smaller (arc).

both mine are 16.75 inches. though the drivers side makes a lower arc, which i wish wasnt so as its not quite high enough as i am tall.

Just about sums it up. The driver side has to long enough for the beanpoles and the passenger side short enough not to hit it.
If you search back you will find posts about the benefits of 21" for the long side and then you find they are sold in mm sizes and the fun continues.;)

Hi mate,

As above you SHOULD have a 22" on the drivers side and 18" on the passenger side. It doesn't matter if you go a few inches either way, as long as the blades don't clash or wipe off the screen.

I would be careful with a 16" blade on the drivers side, as it could potentially be an MOT failure if it doesn't clear the adequate area of the screen.

yes i happened to have one spare 20 inch blade lying around, put that on the drivers side and it fits well, clearing the same arc height as the 17 inch on the passenger side now.
Thought it wasnt quite right. so thats one more reason why it should not have passed its MOT a month prior to purchase :worship:
