mk2 punto speakers don't work

hello iv'e recently bought a 52plate punto active sport. for some reason my drivers side (o/s) speakers don't work. all my left handside (n/s) speakers and built in sub work. i believe its the standard system (standard head unit).

i've checked to see if the connections are on which they are what else could it be?

Open circuit speech coils in the affected speakers maybe? Try using a multi-meter set on the ohms (resistance) range, speakers are usually 4 or 8 ohms.

iv'e tried connecting another speaker up but it still dont work do you think there could be a fault with the wiring or cd player. iv'e heard that the mosfets sometimes pack up could this be the problem.
