couple of issues really

Its my mums Punto mk 2

1ST ISSUE

The connection for the horn is loose , its becoming dangerous because we were on the bypass the other day someone cut in front and my mum found she had no horn!

2Nd issue

How much would a oil change usually cost and maybe a service? it hasnt had a service for many years and the motor needs a tune!

Hi mate,
I'm not really into the mechanic stuff , so what I'd do is get the car to a garage(no service for years!!!OMG...poor punto..) and tell em to fix the horn too.
As for the cost , it depends on the type of oil you'll put.I always do the services + the oil changes at the dealer and an oil change(selegnia but I can't remember the number of it) costs me about 25 euros.
Concerning the services...They've cost me from 70 to about 250 euros depending on the amount of things that should be done.Sth tells me your's is gonna be an expensive one...:)
Consider that our prices(Greece) are usually higher!

How do you know its a loose connection? Clean and refit the connections.

Choose a good local garage, not a shiny showroom, should get it done for less than £300.

Cheers

£300 could include; cambelt, waterpump, oil,oil filter, cam gasket, air filter, plugs, leads, coolant, brake fluid, brakes, bulbs... a list of many things really not knowing what its due for or what condition its in. but yeah like said go to a local garage you'll get a better quote and possibly a better service.
