Technical Mk2 headlight bulbs

hi guys,could anyone tell me what headlights bulbs go in an X Reg 1.2 8v ELX

the wifes got a headlight out and with it being dark nights i have to wait till morning to change,but want to be armed with correct bulb so its a quick job!

im hoping its a H1 as i have one of them!,lol,but ive been told they can be anything from H1 to H4!

any help/

they used h1 and h 7 on the mk2 i think it changed from the h7 to the h1 late 2001 or early 2002

As said above yeah the main beam headlights are H1-H7 for dipped beam headlights H7...
