Technical MK2 Exhaust problems

Hi,

I was driving back from my friends house today and I thought that my exhaust sounded a bit noisy. I managed to get almost home, when I hear a rattle and a bang as the whole end of my exhaust fell on the road.

Have you any idea how much it might cost to fix the exhaust?

after the engine there are 2 sections. depends were the break happend. the furst section runs from back of engine to below rear seats. then there is the rear back box. back oox is aroun £80 garage to £130 dealer i think middle section i think is a bit more as it has one of them flexi pipe sections in it

The same happend to me, my back box and middle section split just before i got home once, i got the middle section and back box replaced for around £70!
