Technical Mk1 Punto Door Winder Handle

Help Help Help Can someone throw some light on how to get the window winder handle off a 3 door punto! I guess there is a clip but how the hell do you get to it? I have tryed levering the handle towards me and forcing the door card back but i just can't seem to get enough gap to see.:bang:

On my mk2 you need to get a piece of metal rod about 2 inches long then bend it so that it has a 90degree bend.

Then you need to hook it behind the winder, and try to move it around and pull to release the circlip that holds the winder on.

Try just putting it in, hooking, then pulling and it if doesn't work, rotate the winder a few degrees and try again.

In short, you cant do it with a screwdriver or anything straight.

Or squuze a rag into the gap & pull it around, the rag catches the clip & pulls it off.
