Technical MK1 Punto alarm

hi, you have prob hear this loads of times..............but I'm trying to fit an alarm to my mk1 p reg punto 55 van, and i can either get the siren to sound all the time or the lights to flash with no siren, when also the arm and disarm on tthe alarm fob are wrong way round, any ideas what i have done wrong please anyone
