So we finally bought a mk1 Panda last week. I started to work on it and turns out the fuel tank is pretty much scrap.
My questions are: 1- Is it possible to buy a new one anywhere?
2- Can I adapt a mk2 one to fit?
3- Would a Marbella one fit?
I looked one eBay Italy and Spain but no luck so far.
Any help, or suggestions appreciated!

Hey there, yeah a marbella's tank will fit fine.
i wrote a guide on how to fix fuel tanks, see it here:

a mark 2 panda's tank is plastic and will not fit sadly.

i have a fuel tank from off a marbella. it was bolted to a 4x4 that was scrapped. it needs a coat of paint but it looks pretty good.
i have a few tanks.. another one of mine has a small hole in it where someone stuck a chisel through it to nick the fuel.. i just need to patch that up and would have another good tank.

are you planning on going to any FF events? if so, could you keep hold of your old tank for me if you are going to throw it away? tanks are quite expensive now, but if i can fix them up i can sell them on for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

Ooh got any pics? Welcome! :)

dragonman thanks for your reply.
Well at least I know now a Marbella one will fit. I was toying with the idea of buying a cheap one for spares anyway.
If you would be willing to sell me one of your decent tanks please send me a PM with a price. I`ll keep the old one for you. We usually go to Brooklands at least.

onemanmade it`s this one.

I`ll probably start a thread on it soon as I`ll have some more questions. It`s a nice little car, but has been off the road for the last seven years, so needs a bit of tlc.
