mk1 alarm?

I've a mark 1 hgt '97, can any1 tell me if it should have a standard alarm? I've noticed the censors next to the sunroof controls! Should it not work with my central locking?

Yeah it should work on the central locking, mine is a HLX and mine never worked from day one, but i have the sensors in the middle too.

Have you tried using that small key to enable the alarm found under the drivers steering wheel in the fuse box.

If anyone can help us solve this problem we'd be grateful.

Just been out and switched it on. Could'nt find ma torch so went armed with a lighter...nearly melted the fuse box cover!

Anyway switched it to 'on' hopefully its armed, noticed the indicators did not blink when pressing the swab though?!?!
