hi can anyone shed any light on my problem with my red tmk 1 turbo? After finally getting it running again after x4 fuel pumps! it is giving me hassle again. Have been using the car for about three months roughly got my trust back in it not to break down any more then a couple of weeks ago it did it again!! was on a dual carrigeway and everything in the car shut down on me, the engine just died, the headlights went out, the dash all went out and the ignition lights came up managed to get it to the side of the road out of the way tried turning it over had nothing then after 5 or 6 attempts it fired up! Drove it home ok. Haven't used it since. Have been told it may be a bad earth or the crankshaft sensor does anyone have any ideas! don't fancy taking it out again now!!!

Most likely you have a problem with the ignition switch.
They tend to wear out and your car goes dead in a second.
80% of all engine faults are caused by electrical problems.
Also watch the wires from the battery to the fuse box.
One of them is just plugged and liked to slip off.

It does sound like an earthing problem, but the fact everything went off makes me think it could be the battery power or earth leads/connections or the fusebox feed (even so,its unusual for everything to go off at once).
