hi lads,
im wanting to know why my uno turbo 1.4 ie misfires when i start it from cold, it wont tick over, has to be run a 2000 revs to make it tick over and when you rev it it just misfires until it gets warm! and its up at 200bhp. any sugestions? :bang: i just can't figure out wats wrong!!

get a new idle control valve.that will sort out the idle problem and missfire check all boost pipes for splits.check plugs leads dissy cap and rotor arm they will cause the car to missfire(y)(y)

Start off with the basics...
Check
Plugs
Leads
Cap/Rotor arm

Then go from there...
If it still misfires after changing all of the above only whilst cold then it could indicate a problem in the cylinder head. You will need to do a compression test. Does the car use a lot of coolant? oil??? overheat at all??

 F R O $ T Y

Thanks Lads,

Its had new plug leads, spark plugs n all the air pipes are fine, it has new roater arm, dizzy cap and doesn't use water or oil.
So ill need to check th idle speed control valve then, me thinks. :worship:

check the lead(s) to the injector(s), there could be a bad connection there or on some other leads connected with the injection system, it's worth checking.;)

My dads croma had a bad connection on one of the injectors and wouldn't run properly when it was cold.
