hey guys,
just sprayed my mirrors!! Will post pics later on when I find my photoshop cd to make the pics smaller! they are 5MP at the moment.hehehehe. Also did some bodywork to remove rust around the rear door.

I know that it took me long but here they are finally...I changed the indicators to clear (the ones of the mud guard) and sprayed the mirrors to the same colour of the body. Hope u like my subtle improvements!! Pls give me ur feedback

i'll be doing the same probably next month, for security reasons ;)
Not sure on the local legeslations either tho. All i know is that its ok to tint on the side and rear windows, just not the front

well this is the situation here in malta luke

we have local wardens who issue tickets for driving offences or for breaking the law. For them tinted is illegal. For the police however tinting is legal (as long as it is not too dark). Malta has no legislation regarding tinting so somehow the authorities have made it illegal to have any tints fixed! You can only have the factory installed tinted but you cant install tinted film.

I am waiting for legislations to be written black on white and then I will do tinted. For security reasons I have installed an alarm which also control my central locking. In the future I will connect it to a module so that my electric windows go up and down when I activate the alarm.

Im also looking for a rev counter but still not sure which type I should buy, where to fix it and what type of pod to use!!

Your best bet is to try and get in touch with citizens advice or the police etc and make sure you get a definate answer...

RE security: I'm putting the remote central locking bit on soon, cheap addon to my cheap alarm :D Im not bothered about them getting into the car (at the moment) but im more worried about them nicking all my ICE. had it done once before and not a nice feeling to know they've nicked about £350 worth of gear.

RE revcounter: Ive got a rev counter mounted in a pod on the left hand side of the dash (cars RHD). Im not sure whats available to you in malta but there are plenty of tuning shops that do rev counters. Dont pay over the odds as you dont really need to... Mine is a TIM gauge (cheap but quality) and im making a custom addon which has a run on LED's like the F1 cars have. so when the revs go up, more LED's light up sequentially.

he luke the rev counter you have sounds interesting....do you think you could post some pics or rather send them to my email on:

I would really like to see some installs. There are many tuning shops as well here in malta. Isaw a nice rev counter which during the day has a black screen...but once you turn on the engine the whole rev counter lights! Now Im thinking if I should use a chrome guage pod or if I should fix it to the pillars but I have found any pods which go with the pillars of the uno.

I will get some pics up eventually, but digicam is dead so all photos i have are low res from my phone.
This is the gauge i have tho...

Cheap and easy to install. Its got the standard illumination when you turn the lights on etc...

About the pods, if you want them somewhere but none make them, make your own! all you need is a metal frame to bolt the guage to and some nifty work with some fibreglass paste to give it the overall shape. Rub it down and paint it / cover in vinyl (carbon looks good)... That easy!
