Hi Folks
Nice to be a part of this forum with so many nice people sharing ideas and experiences..
I live in denmark and over here the blue&me is not standard equipment..:bang:
I really would like a handsfree solution for my GP, and I have found a system called Metablue on the web..
Is it a good system?
And can you install it yourself, or do I have to go to my dealer??
Should I go for a completly different system??
Any oppinions?

Fitted Metablue accessory to my wife's Punto and my Croma, well impressed, automatically connects to phone when ignition switched on and mutes radio etc, definately recomend. Not to bad to fit but have to be very sure of sires connecting into.

I work in this field and deal with this sort of thing on a daily basis. If your looking for a Bluetooth Carkit then i would personally recommend something by Parrot. Their kits are by far the best aftermarket ones available. I hear about all of the products and these do the job every time. I would personally go for their CK3100 kit, it includes an LCD display to show who is calling.

Thanks!
I allready checked the Parrot systems out they also seem nice.. good to hear from a proffesional that they also work in real life!! The thing I like about the metablue system is that the only thing visible is a little blue button. Good to hear that I should be able to fit it myself.. Hmmm decisions decisions..

I can whole heartedly recommend the Parrot CKD-3100 or the version with the colour screen if your eyesight occasionally needs a boost!;)

It works exactly as you would expect it to and is just a great piece of kit.
You will need to add a fitting kit for your specific car.

Indeed. The version with the colour LCD is the CK-3200, also very good piece of kit.

The fitting kit you refer to is a play through or a radio mute, which ever you prefer. It cuts out your stereo when a call comes in and allows the call to be directed through your car speakers instead of a standalone speaker.

Im sure the other kit is good as well, its not something i am familiar with but others seem to be happy with it.

When installing the metablue system..Where is a good place to install the microphone? It seems a bit large from the pictures I have seen..
Does anyone have pictures off the system installed? especially the microphone placement..

I just found out that the parrot ck3000 and and ck3100 can be expanded with a little box that makes it possible to use the steering wheel control to remote control the phone.. This makes it very attractive in my oppinion.. Has anyone experince with the system it´s called "Multican"

I just ordered the parrot ck3000 evolution and the multican add on.. I hope I can install it myself..

Good choice mate. You dont get the LCD with the 3000 but its a more compact unit and the sound quality its just as good, plus its cheaper.

You will find plenty of fitting instructions on the net i would imagine if you struggle.

Good luck.

Thanks guys!!
I was thinking.. Is it safe to route the microphone wire behind the plastic panel in the A-pillar? I´m afraid to mess with the airbag.. And if possible how do I remove the plastic panel from the A-pillar?
Any thoughts??

Update: I recieved my Parrot ck3000 evolution and the Multican interface yesterday:)
Today I installed it in my GP 1.4 dynamic, It took about a couple of hours.. most of the time was spend on getting the microphone cable routed nicely. It was also a little difficult to fit in all the wires and boxes behind the headunit. but apart from that the install was very simple (y)
And it works!!:slayer: I can now make a call by pressing the steering wheel controls, enter the menu, and do everything you normally do from the parrot control unit.. Very cool!
I like very much that nothing is visible in my car except from the little mic which I installed just above the rearview mirror..

Hi, I am new to the Fiat Forum, I had a look for comments/feedback before buying a Metablue kit. Having read that it seemed a good thing and easy to fit I bought one from a dealer and having got it home, it was not as easy as I thought. Absolutely useless instructions. So after much research I finally got a phone no. of the UK distributors and contacted them for help. Wow ! what an experience a really rude man called Tom tracy @ Metasystems who was apparently in customer services told me that I basically should go away he would not give any advice and to contact my dealer who he stated should not have sold me the kit anyway. I think Mr. Tracey is in the wrong job. Amazing reaction considering the kit is listed in the Fiat accessory catalogue. So any help from somebody who has fitted one would be gratefully received as long as your name is not Tom Tracey
