Hi Newbie here:
I bought my Fiat 500 last October and kinda regret it now. Year 2021. Japanese import -not even a manual.
The inside fan has stopped working and we’re here in the hottest summer in Ireland for years.
Is this something simple I can fix or have I to l eave it back for repair?

does the Heater have twisty knobs,

or push buttons and a displayed number?

Does it work on max or nothing?
Keep in mind the part may not be similar to Polish Eu cars? Not sure where the Japanese ones are made, also does the ac compressor cut in even though the fans not working?
I would suggest removing the resistor pack and comparing to pics on say Ebay sellers?

The other option..

The Fan Motor itself has a problem

Sometimes in damp climates..
Like Wales, Japan and Ireland..

The fan motor can get rusty..

Also worth looking at

If your car does not have aircon

And the resistor pack has gone, or the thermal fuse in it has blown, maximum should still work fine


If your car does does have aircon

Things are completely different

Thanks to all. There should still be a warranty on it. I’ll bring it back to garage. I thought it was cute when I got it & it is, but has little extras. I traded in an Opel Mokka which at least had park assist and side mirrors that went in automatically.
AND I bang my head every time I get into it
I think I’ll tell them I wasn’t of sound mind buying it
