2008 Bravo: Can anybody help me please, I can connect my Sony Xperia Z to my blue and me for hands free but it won't connect to play music from it. I don't see a visible aux socket, it's driving me mad. I'll be ever so grateful for some help please, thank you

You can't stream from a phone over bluetooth to blue&me on the Bravo. You need to put music on a USB stick or get an aftermarket HU that can do A2DP.

Basically you need a physical connection to the USB port in the centre console in order to listen to music. Just plug the MP3 into there. You can still use your steering controls to search through the songs and folders etc. do remember some of these cars are nearly 7 years old. They won't have everything the new cars have. Also if you want to listen to iPhone music and have a car made before 2010 you will need to buy an adapter in order to connect them up.

you just can't play music off an android phone on old blue&me versions (the one with windows logo)

What are you talking about.

Yes you can, you can play from any Android device that presents its storage as a mass storage device to the car. This will work on any of the Blue and Me Systems.

The problem is that for the past few years the Android reference devices don't use the same filesystem so don't appear as mass storage devices and therefore wont work.

I think there are some workarounds but I just use a USB stick now.
