In a mechanic workshop what jobs are usually done raising the vehicle. What equipment is generally found?

Whatever you are trying to get from this question will be more productive if you could be more specific. An answer to the above could be many pages, so no-one will bother.
As a general answer, anything that needs to be done under the car, or at the wheels with them off, will require raising the vehicle. Sometimes raising it on a lift makes other stuff easier, just by reducing the bending to a job.
As to equipment, that is a 'piece of string' question with an infinite number of answers.
What is your objective here? Are you trying to buy a garage and want to know if anything's missing?
