A jap DERV!? I'd probably have a Mazda 3 MPS now if they did them in the sportback, but they don't That's.......not as bad looking, admittedly, can see how the're tying it in with the rest of the range

Looks like it has a massive smiling face!!
Thought it sounded too imprssive for a diesel. Bit of googling tells me it is a petrol. Still, bloomin' quick!

Recent mazdas have been pretty decent. This will be no exception.

That front end is horrible.
that looks great, much better than the current model!
:yeahthat: someone at work has the current model on an 07 in dark green.... it near enough sends me to sleep... it cant decide if it wants to be rounded or angular
I prefer the understated looks of the previous model MPS Aero which was rated high enough by EVO mag to get 4 stars. Sat in one at Goodwood Festival of Speed and was impressed not only by the spot on seating and driving position, but the quality of build of it as well.
It has to be the Aero Edition though as this not only adds bigger spoiler and different mirrors but lower Eibach springs, which stiffen and sharpen it up.
Mazda pioneered the whole petrol direct injection engine, in fact I think they may have been first manufacturer to introduce it on a production car.
It has 256bhp (261PS) and considering it is FWD is meant to get power down very well.
The old model prove to be real bargains now the new model is out, a practical performance sleeper.
