The Maxiscan I have loaned has the handbook dated 2009 yet the Proscan on Ebay publishes 2014

I have a Maxiscan since about 3 years, works great.
I recently ordered two new ones for friends, and both failed to work, when opened, there was a mess inside...
I got a new one from the Chinese Ebayer, but it didn't work as well, when I wanted my money back, all I got was silence...
