next week 7th they got a posh one in a box for £2.29

I always remove the icing from the marzipan, eat the icing and pass the marzipan on to someone else!

When i worked in the 'Chocolate Box' in the counter of freshly made chocs they had a selection of marzipan chocs

I was in heaven when i tasted the white chocolate covered one mmmm mmmmm!!!!

Best thing was...i was allowed to sample the chocs so's i could tell customers what they tasted like hehee! good thing really, as the marzipan ones weighed a ton to buy!

btw i too love battenburg tiz my fave cake, BUT i do struggle to find one thats suitable for vegetarians as they contain cochineal in the pink bit

The only one ive found is a homemade one at a local farmshop and it costs a small fortune! Very very tasty mind!

Has anyone found an alternitive 'veggie' battenburg cake?
