Technical marea wont start

can anyone help? I have a 97 Marea when replacing the clutch slave cylinder i disconnected the battery to get access to the cylinder. when i reconnected the battery it will not start. i have a red key but not sure what it is for.
HELP!

Its most likley that its an immobilizer problem.I think ( but i'm not toltally sure) it's a master key that resets the immobilizer.I think you just insert it into the ignigtion for 5 or 10 seconds.Let me know how you get on.

you can try this....open the bonet and diconect the fuel pipe thats at the left hand side...turn the key but not all the way round and see if the fuel pump is working...
have you noticed a key light on your dasbord????
your red key is to set your emobaliser but dont use it on a regular basis because it will bugger your engine managment system....your normal key has a chip in it to sort things out...

look under the passenger seat for a reset button ...there may be a fuel cut off switch ...press it and let me know how u get on...............
