hi everyone new to the fiat forum and trying to find my way around

Purchased My Marea weekend 2001 110 sx jtd with 63K on the clock

Last August and had new cambelt fitted,Sadly the car has not been

looked after, the engine is fine so just need to get the rest of it in order,

I would like some help if anyone has fitted the lower wishbones, on the

advice of a friend i purchased two of these as i am getting a clunk L/H

side if i hit a pot hole or sometimes the speed ramps, so i thought change

both of them, they arrived today and to my suprise the balljoint has no

thread just a taper i was expecting something simular to a trackrod end.

so before i start and if this is correct, is it an easy job to remove and

replace this item/seeing the drawing on disc pdf it seems a fairly easy

task ??? or is it

thanks leonard

its not too bad if you can get the hub seperated from the balljoint.

45-90mins each side.

the knock is probably the droplinks and not the wishbones though, might want to give the ARB a wiggle and see if it has play, the droplinks are easy to change :)

hi the drop links were the first items that i changed without any improvement, its not that bad a clunk only that i know its there and you tend to listen out for the noise. thanks len

Just half inch or so down from the top of the ball joint stem, there is a half round recess and the bolt slide through that to hold in place.
Make sure you spray plenty of wd40 over that bolt first cause they can be very rusty and reluctant to come out! Also, where the ball joint slides through, the hole needs opening up from the back with a something flat like a chisel or flat edge screw driver.
I changed both on mine a few months back without any problems (apart from the rusty bolt)
Hope that helps.

Just as a confidence booster....bought my Marea Weekend in November 2007 at 62,000 miles, and now done 106,000 miles.

Only mechanical work done/needed during that time apart from consumables has been timing belts and one wishbone.

Can't complain really. :)
