:worship: I did a search in forum, i guess the sensors must be located on front wheels. Since I'm absolutely outside the car techniques, I have to ask also: are they common with ABS sensors? I mean.. there is only one sensor specialised on both?
I checked with autodata 2005, no word about speed sensors. The only clue I got is a connector, the 26th, going to speedo. The rest of this problem is foggy.
To reissue the whole thing... since i find myself the whole thread pretty confuse.
Problem:
Got the Marea Weekend 2000, 105JTD. ABS light is the most of the time on, the ABS is not working but extremly rarely. Sometimes light is off but still not working. On clocks, the only one reliable is the RPM. LCD counters moves only when driving pretty fast (5th gear, over 100Km/h), and not all the time. The speedo acts like crazy when it does it, jumping all over between 0 and 180. The most of the time is not working at all.
Wht I did:
Not much by myself, my first diesel and even more: my first "decent" car. I used to own some "Dacia", as known as renault 16...

so.. I really dunno this kind o stuff. So I found a decent service (meaning cheap, at Fiat they are getting tons of money and need to be scheduled, and they are usually changing - you know that - whole parts instead of fixing sth...)
Still, I did the tests I found in autodata: the ABS sensors seems to produce the little electricity required.
Checked also ALL the fuse panels, all fine.
Cleaned the big connector of ECU (using also contact spray).
The speed sensors - did't found any, dunno where they are...
So.. Here we are. Went to service, tested it (for about 12 sterlings in your money):
Speed sensor defective
ABS malfunction
and another "unknown code"
Now... I figured out, reading here and there, that the problem with ABS could be started by that speed sensor. Now you see why am I asking if the sensors are separate or there is only one...
Planning to do (if no better ideea from anyone):
-have ABS sensors cleaned and re-checked
-to find the bloody speed sensors and hack them out
-to figure out the path of the signal (from speed sensors to speedometer) and to check the wires/connections
-to take off the panel with clocks and have it checked.
Otherwise the car runs great and drinks so little that I am amazed
The last point, half bad half great: I am planning to take a 1 week trip in Italy on mid. Feb... The good point: I could fix it right there, in its Motherland

The bad one: will I reach Italy in one piece with the items I shown?
