My Panda, would beat you Marea any day of the week.

Hi,
I'm Nigel Mansell, some of you may remember me, I used to drive in F1. So you may know that I am not the best driver in the world by any stretch of the imagination, but me and my 800cc Panda have beaten all sorts of cars, including the Marea 20V. The only one I have never beaten is that damned Reliant Robin that my mate Jacky Stewart drives, but I think its more down to the driver being better, as my Panda is far and away the fastest car on the road.

Any one fancy crusing round Cardiff this weekend, I'll race you in my panda, e-mail me.

Oh what an amusing little message. Ho ho ho. Try not to give us too many more messages like that. I've only got one pair of these trousers.

But there's one fault - no such thing as an 800cc Panda mate. 750-odd cc, 903cc, 969cc, 999cc, 1108cc and 1108cc automatic.

Ok, Here in Argentina i have a Bravo. 3 months ago y race with a friend who have a Marea and in two streets (200 meters) and have a space of 20 meters. (10%).....

Yesterday I raced against a BMW M5 (V8 400hp) and I won!!!

Yeah, it's the Bravo better aerodynamics, despite its 155hp only

then with your Marea you sure win against a Porsche 911 Turbo !!!!!!!!

marea v's HGT

i dont know which is really fastest, but i do know that i was quoted DOUBLE for insurace on a marea 20V than my HGT! Maybe insurance companies know something we dont?
I can see a way to settle this once and for all. Arrange a meeting at a 'run what you brung' at one of the drag strips. That will show the men from the boy'z!!

ps. I'm going to test drive a marea 155 at my local fiat dealer. I'll let you know what i think.

There is actualy one method of deriving the info that you want. if you can be arsed and you're not too much of a geek, Wind down all the windows of the car (please ensure that the weather is suitable) also start with a full tank of petrol. Now, go as far as you can at a constant speed and see how fast you're petrol disappears. this gives a direct indication of how much drag is being caused which is in direct relation to fuel consumption.

AS YOU ALL KNOW I OWN A FIAT MAREA 2.0 20V HLX WHICH I LOVE TO PEICEES,THE PERFORMANCE IS GREAT,BUT I WANT IT TO GO FASTER THAN MY FREINDS NOVA(IT HAS A CALIBRA TURBO ENGINE IN THE NOVA)WHICH IS VERY FAST.SO DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF I CAN FIT A TURBO TO MY MAREA?,IF NOT WHAT OTHER MODS CAN I DO TO MAKE IT GO LIKE **** OFF A STICK?,CHEERS
