Plz plz plz help !
I currently own a Fiat Marea 1.8 ELX 16v (1997 Model).
I would dearly love to use software in conjunction with my laptop to diagnose and repair problems i am experiencing at the moment. However i am confused regarding wires i need etc. I have been informed that i do not have OBDII connector just a 3 pin connector. Does this matter etc...Is there a wire convertion available?
I have Digimoto Software installed and waiting. :bang:

fiat's use a 3 pin connector for obd. you can easily use a 16pin obd2 connector with the fiat 3 pin connector. use 3 lengths of wire to connect them together. also use 1 length of wire for ground.

on the 16 pin obd2 connector use the following pins
4- chassis ground (connect to ground on 3 pin connector)
5- signal ground (connect to black wire pin on 3 pin connector)
7- k line (connect to white wire pin on 3 pin connector)
16- 12vDC (connect to battery positive terminal)

you need to remember that there are several 3 pin connectors. the main one is on the front of the fuse box cover in the engine bay.

I havent been around much to thank you but i really appreciate your input.
As soon as i make that patch cable i will forward the results of Digimoto here.
Hopefully someone else with similar problems will benefit from your knowledge too.

Good morning, I then opened a new theme but later saw the topic.

I am interested in the protocol for Fiat Marea 1.8 16v 1998 release. And if it is possible to indicate where you'll find technical information on this protocol.

On my machine used Hitachi EGE109127181 0464359010 MFI-0 09 DD4 7Z11..

Thanks
