Technical marea backfires

a short while ago my marea 155elx started backfiring when i first fire it up in the morning. it also struggles now and again when i put my foot down in third/fourth (bit like a manual choke feel). it doesn't backfire when i fire it up in the evening on my way home from work though. any ideas please?

Hi,

Pull the plugs and check the ends to see if they are black and oily/sooty or white and powdery. Let us know and we'll have a better idea.
