Technical Marea 20V Steering Rack Replacement

Looks like I have got a worn steering rack on my P Reg 20v Marea Weekend...
OS inner joint has some play and is knocking quite noticeably.... Checked today and definately the rack and not the inner ball joint...

Any one out there had any experience changing the rack..?? Any words of wisdom gratefully accepted.....

As always, the access looks absolutely awful....
