Well I've picked up the car today and am writing a list of things to fix / buy.

So far:

Clutch cable adjustment.
Door card to fix.
Heater cable to reattached.
Replacement dash parts needed.
Remove stickers.
T-Cut and Polish.
Paint wheels?
Adjust bonnet release cable.
Fix back seat, very saggy.
Fix or replace stereo and speakers.

No, noooooo ! my vote is to remove them(y)I love 80's side stickers but these:bang: are.....:bang:
Few years ago I bought on british ebay 5 sets of original fiat stickers, two sets for regata, two for uno and one for ritmo/strada. If you like the idea of side stickers try to find panda stickers maby?

regata stickers:

on the car:
{ the gold/black variant, the red/ black are for my other regata, but that'll be used after the new paint job someday}

panda stickers I like :

Regards stickers, Gavin was it you who won that 127 sport set of stickers on ebay?

Not me - I've been pretty much out of circulation with work in January.

I hadn't seen them, but don't have a Sport any more. Did they make much & are you looking for some?

I know I have a set somewhere (they are in a technical supplement book to keep them safe, but the book is the bit I now need to find! I think they were original ones, but they are not of much use to me - I don't need to sell them, but I've no reason not to if someone is in need. (y)

The problem with the stickers is they are badly cracked and split and the edges have 20 odd years of polish dried into them.
Anyway the deed is done as they've started to come off and the polished finish is stunning for the age especially on a red car.

I'll do a before and after photo as the rear quarter is nearly done but the door is original.

I've tried to Tcut but obviously the paint under the sticker is going to be a lot darker, it only shows at a certain angle and not when the sun shines.

A bit more polish and elbow grease and it may blend in perfectly.

I think the roof will require a paint job. (n)
