Probably a cheap one. And not all cars benefit from a remap/tuning box.

Oh really how much he pay for his? When he have it done?
I think his main problem was the fact that the ZR engine isn't a turbo. But he was still promised 20-30bhp with this box and he said he felt no difference. What make it was and how much it cost I couldn't tell you. I'll text him and find out.
I'm assuming his ZR was the petrol version, as my old Rover 220 SDI (same diesel engine as the 25/ZR) was re-mapped to 131bhp from 101bhp.
Fantastic drive after that and much better fuel economy too.
But isn't the Gearbox a factor on the Bravo as to your amount of tune, thought the M32 box was pretty close to it's limit in standard trim ?
The M32 box is used in VXR Astra's, the box is designed to handle anything up to 320 Nm of torque. (Hence the 32 in the name) it's the shoddy bearings inside the gearbox that are the problem.
Yeah you can't really expect that much gain with a non turbo car (that isn't like a V6 or something). I would expect maybe around 10bhp at the max for such a car. Well whoever he bought his tuning box obviously lied to him and weren't very professional about it. Cause I know here in South Africa the guys at Unichip will go as many times on the dyno to get the right map for your tuning box and then they still allow another 7 days for you to return it if you're not happy with it.
got a custom map from longlife for £150, the difference was unbelievable, pulls so much better and much lower down the revs, 0-60 time dropped to just over 7 seconds and throttle response was a lot better

Yeah it is a reputable company and it comes with 3 years Warrenty, and peace of mind protecting my Warrenty with Fiat too.it was like question time I was asking all sorts and to be fair he didn't palm me off with tosh, thinking now

These guys look pretty legit. Although I see its a complete plug n play and they don't offer to do their own maps. I just wanna point out that every car is different and the standard map they have on there won't be optimised for your Bravo engine so it won't give you 100% performance opposed to them doing a custom map on the tuning box with a dyno run. However don't worry because you'll only probably lose 2-4 bhp at the most from it's full potential using a tuning box.
I see they also have a 14 day money back guarantee, which means they're not messing around and have good quality tuning boxes. So I rate you go with it, see how much you like the added power and see how well your fuel economy is doing and if you're not happy you can return it
You honestly have nothing to lose here besides a few hundred quid if you like it and decide to keep it also you might end up in a ditch somewhere because of the extra power... just joking, I don't want that to happen to you. All the best mate, tell us if you get it done

Well the dude said that if I go for it they have To get the tuning box custom settings for my car so does this not mean for my bravo as he said each car is individual. He said it would be noticeable straight away,
and the 14 day money back is a safety net,
Would you be buying it from the actual company store (assuming it will be called TDI Tuning) or would it be an authorized reseller?
Cause as it seems the actual company (from reading the flyers) would just sell you the box with the preset settings(map) for the Bravo, that they've set as the general best setting(map) from testing on maybe two different Bravo's.
If it's an authorized seller, which it sounds like and from following what that guy said, I'm assuming that he will indeed do a remap of the tuning box with a dyno run for your Bravo, which is great news indeed. This means you should get 100% performance out of the tuning box
Or he could mean that he'll get the standard tuning box, then have to download a Bravo (whatever engine you have, sorry that I don't know whether you have a multijet or tjet
) map then put it on the tuning box and then plug it into your car...
