what does it take to make my own insurance company?

if i ensure my self so pay the money to me, I drive about happily.
NCB awarded cause my company does that
if i dont have an accident that year then i get my money back.

And if you do run someone over and have to pay them £1,000,000 compensation?
H

Hey ive got a great idea, as you clearly couldnt cover a large claim against yourself, you could take out insurance to cover you. You could fund this through the pament you were going to make to yourself and were hoping to get back. :p

Reminds me of when I was a little kid, me and a mate figured out we were going to be millionaires. Our plan was to borrow money from the bank and put it in a building society account. Interest = profit. :D

who says im gona run someone over? and no one gets 1,000,000 for clains, a few thousand at the most once its been cleared by the doctors, and i could take 100 years for my claims department to resolve a claim like real insurence companies, by then id be dead anyway.

Isnt it up to the insurance company how much money you get anyway?
at least with my company id be insured unlike uninsured drivers who have none so drive away from a hit and run.

Ok then, bad idea, but i still think we should get our money back if we dont claim. il let them keep the interest made off my money as a good will jesture, :p

lmao :p dont get me wrong i just like everyone else would love to pay less/nothing for insurance, but it just isnt feasable :( especially in todays day and age where if you bump a car they suffer life threatening wiplash... sounds like they been practicing football with brazil :D

Most insurance policies are actually re-sold, ie, if you are insured through Tesco, they actually buy that policy from someone else, say from Fortis, they inturn have probably bought that policy from another company, and i have heard that over 90% of all insurance policies in the UK are ultimately covered by Lloyds of London. So, what i am trying to say is, yes you 'could' set up an insurance company, but you would still need to purchase a policy from an overwriter, you couldn't just make one up, and a single person buying one like that would either not be possible, or be very expensive. If you could do it cheaper and still legally then don't you think someone else would have done it already?

And as an aside, the average penalty for driving without insurance is approx £300 and 6 points, the average young persons insurance is approx £600, so why not just drive with no insurance? If you get caught you have just saved yourself £300, and the points wont matter as you don't have insurance, so the premium won't go up. Its a win win situtation. Obviously, the above is WRONG, ILLEGAL and i farking hate people that drive without insurance. So don't do it. Ever.

i think he has a point let's all go with his company and screw the big boys:slayer: (y)

Sorry, its been a long time since i was a young driver. Although i had a 205gti, 1600 when i was 19, it cost me £700 for the 1st year, 600 the second, so still not too bad, but that was, gulp, 12 years ago
