First car, so I am guessing you are at the younger end of cento ownership.
Your insurance underwriter is going to be your guide on this one. Most things that will make the car faster are going to cost you plenty on top of your premium, even if they allow it.
Make sure the car is fully serviced, that the wheel alignment is correct, the brakes aren't dragging, the tyres are the correct spec, of suitable age and condition and not too worn and that the suspension is right as in, been recently changed (even for standard components).
None of this will add to your insurence, but will make the car faster than it probably is now.

Or alternatively use it as a workhorse, drive it into the ground and sell up after you get your 1 years no claims. Use your money you have saved up and buy a faster car.
If you want a fast cento then DO IT!!! (with consent to your insurance provider obviously)

and not not at all infact all the right trees
its £800 so not to bad and i spose if i just keep ontop of maintaining the car would be ideal.
i have to say i love it to bits they are nipper then they look
so i guess i try and get that 1years no claims then start adding to it. thanks for that half that stuff i wouldnt even think about.

If you check out the FAQ's and top up your cento knowledge, you will be amazed at what you can do to these cars.
They are very underestimated cars, my friends always say fiats are slow and crap etc. But you take them for a spin in one they soon change their minds.

Start with a good service and go from there, the other guy's have told you where to find the info for more serious stuff
