Not B related aside from I now get to keep mine, but had to vent!
My Grand Cherokee. After Green Flag saying the immobiliser needed reprogrammed, and Belmont Jeep in Aberdeen saying no, it was an electrical fault and most of the fuses were blowing - which they spent 2.5 hours on at nigh on £200 to say they didn't know what it was, probably the PCM at over £1000 plus VAT and fitting - and they could take another 30 mins to 3 days to diagnose......at £85 an hour.
So, deciding today enough is enough, I thought I'd go and check which fuses were blowing to at least get a start on it.
The PCM fuse was the only one blown. I changed it and hey presto, we have a working Grand Cherokee. Everything working as it should and was before this shower of incompetents almost consigned it to the scrapheap. I am about to go on and kick up merry hell.
Moral of the tale - don't trust the "experts" - especially main dealers and especially Belmont in Aberdeen. (not that many B owners will be going there!)
