I own a 2007 JTD.

A couple of weeks ago I had the black smoke, lack of power under 2500 rpm problem. Cleaned the EGR valve, sorted, power almost like new. Just out of interest I ran the car with the MAF disconnected, couldn't believe how much power was restored (for such a big unaerodynamic box on wheels these things can shift).

Anyways, I believe the MAF seems to be faulty, any ideas on the best/cheapest place to get one from?

Same question on the rear bushes, dont fancy buying a whole subframe, and think I would be able to fit meself, any ideas where to get some, I think I remember someone mentioning previously that Vectra bushes would work?

There are a few threads on page 2 currently about replacing the bushes - from memory you can use a Vetra part ot a Punto part.

The default settings for no MAF do seem quite good - I ran my Alfa with it unplugged for months when I was skint. In the end I stunped up for a proper replacement because I'd read so many posts about cheap ones lasting 5 minutes - I reasoned it was worth paying the extra.
