MAF/MAP Sensor

Rite Bravo 1.6 Hlx Mk2 99T! Looking for one of the following as i think mines shafted and lettin far 2 much fuel into the engine resulting in poor fuel economy and it running like basically ****e! im looking for the cheapest price!

No MAF on a 1.6. Get a diag done first. If a sensor is reading wrong the diag will show it.

When you say running like ****e can you be a bit more specific. Does it idle smoothly?

had a diag done a while back the guy said was either lambda sensor or Map sensor! i had the lambda sensor replaced and its still as bad as ever! it idles smoothly 70% of the time but sumtimes drops 2 500rpm and almost cuts out then goes up to 1500rpm and so on! Also car has a tendancy to cut out wen i drop the clutch or wen i go round corners!

The diag should show what is wrong. A new MAP is £90 and thats a fair bit of cash to shell out on a guess.

It could be something as simple as an airleak or exhaust leak.

well he just told me that it was running rich and said that either of those cud be to blame!

Get a real diag done, it will show the readings the ECU is getting.

Running rich can have lots of causes.
