Hi, I have a 1998 fiat seicento sporting spi, I have a system fitted to my 2002 1.2 16v fiat punto which i will be stripping soon. The system is an ACstag 300 plus which is currently running 4 injectors, does anyone know anything about fitting Lpg systems? I have a full wiring diagram. Any help would be great. Thanks

does anyone know anything about fitting Lpg systems or that system to a sei. Or is it just as easy as going from 4 injectors to 1 injector?

Effectively you're going from MPI (on the 16v) to SPI on the Sei, which is, ahem, a wee bit problematic, maybe.

Does the LPG system come with its own ECU? Is it switcheable from petrol to LPG? And so on...............

If it's switcheable, I'd keep the SPI mani and head, weld on bosses for the injectors on the mani close to the head, and keep the SPI stuff for petrol.

Otherwise, I'd be inclined to put an MPI head and mani on it.

But I'm no LPG eggspert.............

Yes its switchable from petrol to gas and yes it has its own ecu which by the looks doesn't take too much to wire up also got its own map sensor. I've also got the software so i can map the Lpg ecu, switch off the remaining 3 injectors and make any corrections that are needed. I don't see it being a problem but I would just like someone who knows 100% that it will be fine. Its a really up to date system only a few months old.

Thinking about it, this Lpg system would probably be good for using with a Turbo conversion because of the extra injectors and mapping for boost and also the octane rating of 110.

I would use all 4 injectors but I can't see a way of telling the Lpg ecu which one to fire at what time.

If its all fine and does work I can see the car doing like 500 miles on one tank lol and would cost me like £40 to fill if i remember right which I don't think is too bad.

wouldnt that create some sort of pooling though using 2 injectors at once as the inlet valve will be closed on one of the cylinders? Thats what I've never got when people say they splice the spi injector wires into 4 injectors and keep them firing together.

well I can get my system to run semi or full sequetial, so if i take the one injector signal and splice into 4 injector signal my Lpg ecu will think its running full sequetial and will fire all 4 Lpg injectors at once.

Well I've just bought a 52 plate sei obviously MPI so now its just a case of take off one and fit the same on the other. Only paid £350 for the car with 60k on the clock, seems like a good buy to me.

That's what I thought, I had to go along way for it mind, Cardiff to Kent and obviously back again, plus there was an accident on the m25 so had to go through london took us 2 hrs to get through there. We left at 14:00 didn't get there until 19:10 and didn't get back until 02:30 lol and we had to tow it all the way because there was no tax, it was insured though. But that was hell of a trip.
