Hi to you all.
Like a lot of you I have a 1992 1.9 td Ducato with a Rimmer motorhome attached.
It has a fixed LPG tank for the water, cooking, fridge and heating.
All work fine except that the gas level gauge dosn`t work so my question is
can I top the tank up, without using the gauge.
The gauge is integral with the filler and supply valve.
If I need a different Forum can anybody suggest one please.

Try talking to Autogas at Thirsk. They carry all the spares.

The tank should never contain more than 80% liquid LPG.
If the gauge doesn't work anymore you can fill only when the tank is empty and you are sure about the tank capacity. There is a safety device on the tank to release gas when the pressure becomes dangerously high ( 16 bar), but if the gauge doesn't work anymore, the safety valve may also be compromised.

Your vapour tank should have an automatic cut-out to prevent filling above 80%, it doesn't matter how much liquid is already in it or if the visual gauge is working or not.

In a 1992 motorhome I'm not so sure there is one, even less sure it works properly.
