Hi.. I'm new to this.. I've recently acquired a 1988 Fiat Panda 750 .. It has a genuine and quite amazing 1108 miles (eleven hundred miles !!!!) ... It has been stored in a dry garage since 1991. I've fallen in love with it (as has my wife) ...
It's my view that cars are for driving, which is exactly what my wife is keen to do. If anyone can put my mind at rest, before I start adding to these miles, a car in with this low mileage isn't worth a fortune ???
Just happened upon this forum.... Good work fellas (I use that term to include females !!)

Xx

Welcome. Everyone loves a panda.lover but ! When mentioning your purchase. To friends and neighbours I am sure the following question is it a 4x4 ??? Is the reply
You may love the afore mentioned beast. But be aware one panda is followed by another then one or two more may arrive Possibly followed by a punto or two A shed then a garage possibly that unused bedroom will slowly fill with treasures and gifts from others with the same love
Panda love. Is the greatest love of all
You will find yourself dreaming of a greater and more substantial animal
May be a little quicker , more comfort , more capable , sometimes closer to the ground eBay gumtree subito eBay . It
Will be trawled for your utmost desire
That rarest optional extra , panda tee shirts , fridge magnets
I. Am so sorry it's something you started and will never complete
Welcome

There are quite a few low mileage Pandas around. Many were second cars, and lots bought by elderly owners, who popped to the shops before storing them when they stopped driving. It doesn't make a huge difference to the value - condition is everything.

I'd just use it and have some fun. If you keep it in the same condition, it's likely to just carry on appreciating gently.

I'm sure that's what you wanted to hear, which is always a bonus! (y)

My red Panda 1000 was previously owned by an elderly gentleman who pottered down to the shops in it, and by a collector after that. It had 16k miles on in 2014. The next owner drove it up to 26k over just 2 years, I bought it in 2016. Just clocked 27.1k today :)

When I was looking at buying in 2016, I heard from various places that the money really was in the condition and not in the mileage. I'm sure the condition of this one is great at only 1108!

If you get any pics then feel free to share here with us!

Hi again.. Really struggling to upload piccies.. I will persist !!! .. For anyone that's interested...
The car is immaculate (except for a couple of minor scratches to paint-a couple of inches each)... Engine is spot on (it took some fettling but when it fired up..) Interior is great except for the foam in the seats seems to be decaying ("dandruff" on floor).. No rust anywhere ..
All of this is understandable given it's history, which also gives it's own problems .. Got it running and suddenly the brakes really played up.. All of the the braking (abrasive) material had detached from the rear shoes !!.. As a novice I struggled finding replacements, but I guess I'll reach out to you guys for advice in the future ..
If anyone is still interested I'll post those piccies... Cheers..

Apparently I've got to post at least 5 times before I can put a pic on..

Hopefully ???

That is an amazingly low mileage, possibly an elderly owner as mentioned in one of the other posts. My mother (long gone) traded in a car with 153 miles on the clock from new to buy another car that sat in the garage too, she just loved cars and liked the idea of having one but had lost her nerve driving anywhere.
I have a Sisley 4x4 that has sat in my garage for 4 years with 23,000 from new, bought it on 21,000 miles and ambitiously drove it to Les Gets (changed the oil but not the water or thermostat) to go skiing, then to Limogues and then headed home to Rutland, about 300 miles from Calais the head gasket went! kept topping up the water and it made it home to Rutland another 200 miles from Dover.
The bores have been filled with oil and the engine spun over so not seized, just haven't had the time to sort it out.
Good luck with the new motor.
