Jeni (Mark also by the sounds of things!): When fitting these springs, did you re-use all the metal and rubber parts (retainers) on the top and bottom of the springs or just not use any or some for any reason? Just curious as you could fit without.
I removed my old suspension a week or so ago now and I think I may have lost the front bottom rubber spring retainer (number 6 in the attched picture).
Have you got one on yours?
Sooooo, just to get this right back on topic after inadvertantly causing massive thread disruption:

I think you may be right about the spacer theory. This is what I thought because the part has 'GD' written in the comments part (RHD in ePer land). The two I recently lowered did not have that part! Is that not the plastic spacer used on the drivers side on rhd 903cc pandas to bring the car level when just a driver on board.
I think you are right. The spring will sit fine on the strut without anything and not puting in the rubbermetalthingy's would probably cause issues, although they would make the car lower!Everything that came off the car went back on, including the rubber and metal spring cap thingy's, though they were only on the top of the springs as the lower spring plate seems to have the moulding for the spring to sit in, where as im not sure if the top does, maybe if you dont use the rubbermetalthingy's the spring would sit at a jaunty angle ?![]()
