ive not been on for a while due to work and stuff and im gutted i missed the glasgow meet last sunday , i never get to go to these meets due to them being to far away and i miss the local one , Bummer !!!


anyway i spend a few quid on the car recently and im well pleased with the result ..

right ive just bought satin paint for the alloys , but im having second thoughts now .

the idea is to paint the alloys black and get the roof wraped black to ..

do you think it would look gash if i went ahead with it ?

I've been tempted to do something similar with my Stilo (same colour as your Punto I think) and think it would look decent enough. Looks good as is, but personally if you're not sure I'd do a mock up of how it'd look before getting it done. No sense in wasting money on something you won't be able to live with after all.

ive spent the cash on the paint now and i got a quote from universal signs south street glasgow , for £60 to do the roof in a gloss black vinyl wrap ..

i'm just para that im gonna mess up the car doing all this , alloys need a refurb anyway and i cant affort to get them powder coated ...

maybe ask the guys on the other forum's and c if they will do a PS ...

btw mine is grey Grigio 647

Yeah, mine is Grigio Steel though can't remember the number - probably is that.

£60 isn't a lot really, had been thinking about getting the bonnet and roof done but getting it painted due to the bodywork needing a bit of tlc. Your alloy design is probably simpler to paint than mine as well, so should be easy enough to get a good one colour finish.

Obviously it's your car, but as I said I don't think the plan you've got is all that bad. Plus given the cash you're spending, it's not like you're wasting a big pile of dosh on it. Have heard of people spending over a grand wrapping their car alone and it's normally £30-50 a wheel for a refurb so what you're probably spending isn't too bad

Aye, that doesn't look too bad. The darker wheels certainly work - some people aren't a fan of black or darker alloys on cars, but I reckon in many cases if the style of the alloy's right they can really work.

The roof I'm not totally sure on - wondering if it's really an improvement on what you've got. It's certainly not making it look worse though, probably just different
