General lost part in wheel arch = VERY MESSY ENGINE

hi guys, has anyone ever come to take their head lights out and accessed the nuts via the pannel that comes down within the left hand wheel arch.

i did and managed to brake the clip in here leaving around a 1" hole or what ever size it is.

since this my engine has gone discussing, everything is dirty even the wiring and electrical parts.

anyone know what this car is called/costs or any way to get round it.

also is it safe the spray the engine bay with water i wasnt too sure on wetting the electrics?
