Hi i am the proud owner of a 2.0 multiair 2009, its got 33k on the clock and my commute to work is about 400 miles each way, so she gets a good run atleast twice a month, ive noticed recently that my bravo has lost some power, it takes till about 3k revs for the turbo to kick in and you can hear a hiss as you speed up, the tsss of the dump and then more hissing gradually dying, i thought nothing of it at first but she doesnt seem as nippy or the torque as she did when i got her, only serviced a few months ago.. any ideas?

Clean the Egr valve it is a common issue with multijet

Thanks for that :) ive done some research myself and came to that conclusion, is their a guide to this? Ive seen the grande punto one but none for the bravo (n)

It is almost the same on stilo,bravo,punto..just be careful with the screws and do cleane the mechanical part and the spring thoroughly.I cleaned the electronic part just with contact spray as it was full of black oil and tar like substance. It takes some time, and do it slowly if it is your first time and everything will be fine.Take your time.I posted somwhere on Bravo part of the forum how to do it.

Is the lack of power obvious?

My turbo doesn't kick in until around 3k revs so you have me worried now :p

AGO, I put my foot down and i wait.. and wait and wait and then all of a sudden woosh.. turbo goes wild with hissing everywhere then the car picks up speed, i used to press the peddle and my head hit the seat

About 30mph and 3.5-4k revs.. when i first got her, i used tobget headaches from my head hitting the headrest (y) i did come striaght from a 1.4 haha

I had a T reg Vauxhall Corsa 1 litre, 50 bhp.

I now have a Fiat Bravo 1.4 T-Jet 150 bhp.

How do you think my head felt? ;)

Vauxhall Corsa 0 - 60 Never.

Fiat Bravo 0 - 60 8.2 seconds.
