looking for first fiat

hi my name is max and i am looking for my first fiat (also first car) i am currently looking at cinquecentos and wondered if any one had or could advise me of where to look for one.my dad is currently restoring a x1/9 as well

Finding cinqs nowadays is really hard, the only advice i think i can give is "be prepared to travel to find one" Chances of one turning uplocally are getting less and less

Scrappage scheme a few years back and a few harsh winters have pretty much killed them off

that's annoying ill just keep an eye out for one. missed out on one about 1 month ago and got to say i regret it as it could have been mine for £100

Welcome along, as mentioned above, cinq's are becoming pretty rare to find. Might be worth looking for a Seicento or Punto as they're a bit easier to find and can be similar costs

Hiya & Welcome.
As Mark & Rich said, getting your hands on a Cinq in decent nick can be mission impossible.
You might be better off looking for a Sei, to get you going. Same size as the Cinq, has Power Steering unlike the Cinq, but end of the day it's whatever you can get your hands on is what matters.

only the mk2 seicentos have power steering. mk1s do not.

plenty of cinqs on auto trader ect but you will have to drive to get it... there are a few about but finding a good one is hard as many people just abuse them as cheap cars with no maintanance

Only a handful of the earliest seis have no power steering, 95% of mk1's included.

they are as rare as an S reg cinq. They do exist but good luck finding one!
