Well, my ageing Punto 55s (1997) has been got at with the old "screwdriver on the lock" technique - they managed to bend both locks out of shape, leaving the driver's side door impossible to lock, and the passenger side door permenently locked! I'm not a huge fan of leaving my car unlocked in the middle of Manchester, and have booked it into a garage to have the locks replaced.
While the place I booked it into have told me that there will be "no problem" with repalcing the lock set, a few other places mentioned that if the handles' are damaged then the both doors could be write-offs. Can anybody with more technical knowledge than me (not hard!) help me here - the handles don't look damaged, but what are the chances of them not being able to replace the locks? Anybody done it themselves who'd be able to comment? Cheers!
