Got my Stilo 1.2 about 7 month ago and I came from a Pug 306 non turbo diesel. I liked it and believe it or not it felt like more power than the pug. My like started to grow to concern then dislike as I found out I had the stilo clock problem then noticed the battery was not holding charge. I sent the clocks away for a repair and got a new battery. Car is good again and it was growing on me again. After about 4 weeks the decision was made to take it to Germany. Got some new tyres and the yatour MP3 player and it was good to go. 28th September the stilo was on the ferry. I took it down threw Holland to a mates work to pick up a message then down to the Mosel Valley for a couple of days. The car was faultless all day doing 80-85 mph on the motorway. Spent a couple of days down Germany then went to Luxembourg for cheap tobacco for the fife (smelly smoker) I stopped. Up through Belgium and into south Holland to my mates gaff. Again 80-85 on the motorways and the car was faultless. Did another 120 mile round trip to a bikers party over two nights then another night at my mates before the trip home. Home was almost 200 miles to the ferry. This was almost 90 mph all the way then a sedate 100 miles from Newcastle to my gaff. 1080 miles and the computer says 44.8 MPG what I thought was dam good. After having my doubts about the car when I first got it, now the giggly problems are fixed I kind of love it. Treated it to another couple of tyres and a replacement back door today to say thank you. It’s not often I MOT a car as I buy end of line stuff but I think this may be a keeper for a few years. 1.2 Stilo, FSH with only just over 45k on the clock. Think this should last at least 5 years.

:)

Dammit, there was a link to the thread in my post but it wasn't obvious due to the crappy way we currently display links. I thought I'd underlined it to make it more clear but obviously hadn't.

Nice car but wash it yourself you lazy git :p *

*Yes I am aware of the irony there

Wash it myself. LOL, Your funny.

Couple of years ago I went to see an escort for £50 with no mot. Took the gamble and it cost be just under 300 to pass. When I got it I had seen cleaner cars in a scrap yard. When I got rid of it a year later and it still had the previous owners crap in it as well as mine. The car never got a wash once. Drive fast in the rain does the same job as a pressure washer. :)

Yeh...subtle application of wash and wax becomes a bit of an issue at 30mph tho!
