My car just failed the MOT becasue of n/s link bar bushes...

I've got them, tiny bloody things, about the size of a £2 coin. Only a £1 odd each from Fiat which wasn't bad really. I got all 4 as i may aswell change them all.

Anyone ever changed these? Any tips?

sorry mate, never 'erd of 'em!

i'm sure tom will know...

failing that, if the part is cheap it won't cost that much for the garage to put them on for you would it? (the one where your MOT has been done)

Yeah not too much, they only want £60 (2 hours labour), i'm not paying that for parts that only cost me £4 odd...lol

I think they are just anti-roll bar
bushed as they attach to erm...the anti roll bar ;)

S'ok anyway i have just about finished them :)

Give me about 6 months and i would have a fully rebuilt HGT...lol

How many miles have you got on her now Daz? May be that mine need doing.

Funnily enough, Edd China was on the telly the other day replacing them on a Capri. Seemed like a bitch of a job as he had to force them in using a vice, oversized socket and lots of fairy liquid for lubrication.

I'm just hitting 57k on my '99 HGT.

Its faily easy as long as you DONT follow the haynes manual...lol

It says to removal the whole anti-roll bar. But I just undone the two bolts on the strut, the hub drops down and with a bit of levering you can get them in with little or problem.

Took me about 2hrs start to finish inc fag breaks.
