Linea Linea in the UK

On my way back from Whitby today saw a white FIAT LINEA on the A169 heading away from Pickering to Whitby.

Pretty sure it was on French plates but could be on anything EU

never sold in Germany as wel, just the Palio Weekend made it there, but was sold in minimal numbers as well.
Spanish may be, but my guess would be Rumenia.....or a country near it.....
