hey guys, just showing off the panda similarities of this Yugo 45 thats in our local scrap yard.
have a look at these pictures.. it takes the 903cc engine and loads of other fiat parts.. see if you can spot them all!
been in derby its whole life!
Genuine miles.. the service book and previous MOT had just 130 miles difference!
bet these switches would fit a panda.. i will deffo get them when it comes out the "quarantine" section
i almost cried when i stuck my hands under the rear of the sills and it all just crumbled to dust.
i so would have bought this if it was.. more solid underneath.
what an awesome little car.. so sad it never had a chance to be driven to its "worn out" mileage. mind you, i bet that 903 is still good for another 230000 miles!
they still have it, if you want give them a call.. this is the place:

Tell em the guy with the fiat panda 4x4 sent you![]()
hmmm fancy a resto project on my behalf Jon? - ideal opportunity with a donor vehicle in your scrappie (or is a lot of it in your shed now...)![]()
So Dragon Man is restoring the van from the bits of the Yugo in his scrapyard yes? panda panda is paying for this, and when he gets fed up of it, I'll swoop in and buy it at a knockdown price? Sorted..........
you sayin' im not good enough? you saying the Yugo is not good enough?
i wish i could afford that yugo.. i think it would go nice.
it would have to be stored though till i had dealt with fallout
No insults intended Dragon Man!
Palio is spot on though - you must be bored of Panto by now....
I did spend a lot of time looking at the Yugo's and Lada's at the classic show last year but they haven't survived in any number - what are the odds of these two being available at the same time?
Any garages/storage spaces nearby you John to rent until you have space or time for the Yugo brothers? Being slightly presumptious that you'd want to do them here, just think that a rare and interesting little car/van should be saved and would make a great - almost anti-show car!
its a good job i dont have enough cash to buy the yugo.. lol or i would have it on the drive already
Then I can borrow it from GavinI think panda panda wants to buy it and you do the work for him, and then Gavin buys it later on when you've restored it![]()
no one.. it was still in the yard a few days ago... i plan on going down a bit later on though.
theres a very butchered punto 75 in, and i want they cylinder head off it! >_<
i managed to get all of the electronics off it.. but i didnt have the right ratchet for the bigger bolts. i dont want to force my little 1/4' ratchet too much.
i just wonder what having a MPI punto 75 head on a 999cc block would be like.. i'll have to make a bracket for the crank position sensor, but i imagine its going to be pretty awesome.
ill be looking forward to having the head gasket blow! as it will be then when i would fit all the goodies haha
