Technical Lights turning off and back on

I was driving along last night with normal dipped beams on and my lights flicked off for a split second enough to notice though and then came back on. I didn't touch any part of the stalk happened on its own accord.
It happened before awhile ago but thought nothing of it.

any one else had this problem before?
Know the cause of this happening or a solution to prevent this happening again?

I noticed this when traction control kicks in, head lights seem to momenteraly go off. Noticed it a lot during recent bad weather, just another Fiat gremlin I suppose, not serious enough to bother about.
