This ones got me!!
When the engine is running and the lights are on they all flicker slightly including the dash lights, interior lights etc etc. If the engine revs are increased or reduced it does not make any difference to the flicker rate.
I have checked battery, alternator and any other major connections which are all fine.
The vehicle is due for an MOT shortly and although in daylight the flicker is hardly noticeable, I am about to take on a long drive into Europe and would like to bottom this issue out so any help or suggestions would be much appreciated:bang:

Forgot to say what vehicle it was .....its a 2002 Multipla SX JTD

Hi,
This is probably the alternator, most likely worn brushes. On most you can change the brushes without replacing the whole alternator and on may you don't even have to remove the alternator from the car.
You do need to look at the alternator and see what make and model the alternator is. It is hard to be certain of the alternator model from just the model and year because they my change due to availability at the time the car was made or may have been replaced before by a different model.

HTH,
Robert G8RPI.
